About the Job:

We offer a challenging position for a New Product Development (NPD) Engineering position for a New Product Development project in a Medical Device Company.  An exciting opportunity for an engineer in an innovative and international high-tech organization to help increase quality of life.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

The NPD Engineer participates within a Product Development project team and is working on product and process development, cooperating with the Operations department and New Product & Process Introduction department regarding product and process implementation. The NPD Engineer:

• Participates as an active member of the New Product Development Team.
• Assist in identifying interventional cardiologist requirements and product characteristics.
• Ensures that necessary drawings, specifications, testing are properly documented through our product development cycle. Assists to complete the Design Dossier or Design History File.
• Maintains all documentation necessary for a Design History File (DHF), including Design Input Documents, Design Validation Plans/Reports, Test Protocols/Reports, Design Input/Output Matrix and Risk management
• Works with Engineering, Marketing and Manufacturing to identify, engineer and manufacture new products that meet customer needs and fit identified markets.
• Works closely with Quality Assurance to ensure that the development of new products meets and/or exceeds both company and Federal quality standards.
• Ensure project milestones are met.
• Interfaces with identified physicians to gather new product information.
• Delivers customer training and effectively transfer knowledge to empower customers to use the IMDS Complex PCI portfolio effectively.

Job Requirements:

• BSc or MSc Degree in Chemical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
• Highly committed, respectful, trustful and eager
• Comprehensive engineering knowledge
• Has the technical knowledge to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
• Able to write clear reports in fluent English, delivers presentations effectively to small and large groups and creates alignment between cross functional team members through effective communication
• Has the capacity to gain (in-depth) product and procedure knowledge
• Fluent in English both verbal and written communication for among others to deliver customer training
• Can define objectives and break down into executable tasks with scheduling and tracking for overall plan execution; can prioritize activities by importance and meet tight deadlines
• Experience with statistical techniques for data analysis (pre)
